Vineyards

At Easley Winery, our dedication to crafting exceptional Indiana wines is rooted in our collaboration with skilled grape growers across the Midwest. Starting with our foundational Cape Sandy vineyards in Indiana, known for their ideal grape-growing conditions thanks to frost protection from the Ohio River and fertile limestone soils, we've expanded to source grapes from various regions, including Jennings County in Indiana and Berrien County in Michigan, as well as the Finger Lakes region of New York. Each vineyard is carefully selected for its unique climate and soil composition, ensuring the high-quality grapes that contribute to the distinctive taste of our award-winning wines. From the historic journey beginning with Jack and Joan Easley to the present, our commitment to authenticity and excellence remains unwavering.

Harvest

Harvest season, spanning from August to October, is a bustling and vibrant time at our winery, marked by the careful coordination between our winemaking team and grape growers to ensure each grape variety is picked at its peak ripeness. Harvesting occurs at night when cooler temperatures prevail, followed by prompt transportation to our winery for immediate processing to maintain the grapes' quality. This includes destemming, pressing, juice filtering, and initiating fermentation, all integral to crafting our distinguished wines.

Bottling

Easley Winery proudly produces and bottles our award-winning wines and champagnes in downtown Indianapolis, where we blend traditional winemaking wisdom with modern technology to ensure the highest quality. Our bottling operations, a fusion of German, Italian, and American engineering, enable us to efficiently bottle 5,000 units per hour, showcasing the finest wines Indiana has to offer.
